FAQ

Live your best life from the inside out!

WHAT IS TRAUMA?

In it’s most simplest definition trauma is considered, too much, too soon, too fast.

This means the scope and experience of events being traumatic is completely in the understanding and perception of the survivor. What is traumatic for one individual may not may considered traumatic for another. This is why healing and recovery with trauma are completely customized to the seeker or survivor. For some there may not be a desire to heal so much as understand their trauma and it’s effects on the mind body and soul. Where you are in your journey and where you desire to be in your journey are the focus and support your coach is trained to walk through with you.

What is trauma recovery coaching?

Trauma Recovery coaching is coaching centered around walking clients through their healing from hurts, harms, shame and trauma. Unlike therapy, this is client led. This means you are encouraged to practice autonomy throughout the process of your healing journey. We combine this work with our somatic training. We arm clients with psycho education and vernacular about their brain and nervous system. We help you see that you hold all the resources you need to heal and build resilience with trauma and grief in life. Healing from trauma is a mind, body and soul experience.

What is Somatic healing?

Soma means body. Somatic work is using body centered practices to bring awareness and presence to the person or being. When trauma happens, it is stored in the body through our amygdala and nervous system. It is common for survivors of trauma and chronic stress or illness to become detached or disassociated from their bodies. To be present in our bodies is to rebel against the destruction and toxicity of trauma. We all inherit a reptilian or survival brain from our ancestors. It serves to keep us alive when danger or the threat of it is present. We also inherit a higher consciousness that intersects at our Thalamus and Amygdala for the purposes of healing and living our best life from the depths of our soul.

What is Energy healing?

Coach PJ is our in house energy worker and healer. He specializes in the practice of transmuting energy from one form into another. When patients are feeling the following:

pain

inflammation

a blockage or burdened

Coach PJ takes the energy of these struggles and through metaphysical exercises changes and/or releases the energy to serve the patient in living their best life. We believe everything is energy and encourage you to ask about exercises to help you experience this healing modality. It is more than the “new wave” in healing and restoration of the body. It is an ancestral practice that also honors a power greater than the one or self.
